SaveViral
Privacy Policy
How SaveViral collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the service.
Effective date and last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how SaveViral handles information when you visit the website, submit a public media URL, or contact us. By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described below.
Information we process
- Submitted URLs and processing results: the public media URL you enter, source information returned for it, available formats, and technical status or error details.
- Technical, log, and security data: information such as IP address, browser or device type, user agent, timestamps, requested pages, referral information, and events needed to operate, diagnose, rate-limit, and secure the service.
- Language preference: your English or Indonesian selection is stored in your browser using localStorage under the key “saveviral_lang”.
- Communications: your email address and the contents and metadata of messages you send to our support address.
- Advertising and cookie data: when advertising is enabled, advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies as described below.
How link processing works
Submitted public media URLs are sent to the SaveViral backend for processing. The backend may communicate with an extractor and the relevant source or provider to retrieve media information and available file links. This means the submitted URL and related request data may be disclosed to those services as necessary to answer your request.
Processing may create temporary data, caches, logs, and security records. SaveViral does not guarantee that a requested media file is stored or retained by SaveViral, and we do not claim that storage never occurs. Storage and caching can vary based on the processing path, operational needs, and third-party provider behavior.
How we use information
- Provide extraction results and the features you request.
- Maintain reliability, troubleshoot errors, measure service performance, and improve usability.
- Detect abuse, enforce rate limits and policies, and protect users, the service, and third parties.
- Respond to support, privacy, legal, and copyright communications.
- Comply with applicable law and protect legal rights.
- Support advertising and understand site usage when those features are enabled.
Cookies, Google advertising, and your choices
SaveViral uses browser storage for your language preference. The website may also use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, measurement, security, and advertising.
When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You may also visit AboutAds choices to learn about opting out of some third-party vendors’ uses of cookies for personalized advertising. Browser settings may also let you block or delete cookies and clear localStorage, but doing so may affect site preferences or features.
When information is shared
We may share information with extractors, source providers, hosting and infrastructure services, security and analytics services, advertising partners, and communication providers only as reasonably needed for their functions. We may also disclose information when required by law, to address fraud or security concerns, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the service. Third parties process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Third-party platforms and links
SaveViral links to or interacts with third-party websites and media platforms. We do not control their content, availability, security, cookies, or privacy practices. Review the policies of a third-party service before using it or sending information to it.
Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for processing, operations, security, dispute handling, legal compliance, or the purposes described in this policy. Retention periods vary by data type and operational context. Temporary processing data may be short-lived, while security logs and correspondence may be kept longer when reasonably necessary. Third-party providers set their own retention periods.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No Internet transmission, processing method, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children’s privacy
SaveViral is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action. Local law may set a higher age threshold.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights may be limited by applicable exceptions. To make a request, email us and describe the information and request. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International processing
SaveViral and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Privacy laws and protections may differ by location. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for cross-border processing.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
