SaveViral
Copyright Policy
How to report copyright concerns relating to SaveViral, what a notice should contain, and how reports are reviewed.
Effective date and last updated:
SaveViral respects intellectual property rights and expects users to process only content they own, are permitted to use, or may lawfully access and save. This policy describes a practical reporting process for copyright concerns relating to the service.
Before sending a report
SaveViral processes public media URLs and may return links or information supplied through third-party sources. SaveViral does not control content hosted on those platforms. If your goal is to remove the original content from a source platform, report it directly to that platform as well.
How to report copyright infringement
Send a notice to [email protected] with the subject “Copyright Report.” Include enough information for us to understand and evaluate the report:
- Your full name, organization if applicable, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered.
- The exact SaveViral URL and the submitted or source URL associated with the allegedly infringing material, plus enough detail to locate it.
- A clear explanation of the claimed infringement and the action you request.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Review and action
We review sufficiently complete reports in good faith and may request clarification or supporting information. Where appropriate and technically possible, we may restrict relevant processing, remove or disable access to material within our control, preserve records, notify affected parties, or take other proportionate action. A report does not guarantee a particular result, especially when material is controlled by a third-party platform.
Responses and counter-notices
If you believe material or access was restricted because of a mistake or misidentification, email the same address with the subject “Copyright Response.” Identify the affected material and prior report, explain why the action was mistaken, provide your contact details, include any statements or signature required by applicable law, and state whether we may share the response with the reporting party. If a formal counter-notice process applies, we may provide further instructions and act in accordance with applicable law.
Repeat infringement and abuse
When appropriate and reasonably identifiable, SaveViral may limit or terminate access associated with repeat infringement. We may also reject or take action against fraudulent, materially misleading, abusive, or bad-faith reports and repeated misuse of the reporting process.
