Understand the link, format and download steps
SaveViral reads a public media link and lists the formats that its extractor can obtain. You can compare the media type, extension, resolution and file size when those details are supplied. A result means formats were found; it does not mean the file has already been saved on your device.
Start with one video or audio post that you own or have permission to download, subject to the platform’s rules. Use its normal share link rather than a search page, profile or playlist. There is no sign-in flow for private media, paid content or protected streams.
How to use it
- Copy the direct media page link and paste it into the form.
- Select Download to retrieve the available formats, then check the title and media type.
- Choose an offered format and wait for your browser to save the file.
Example and result
720p · MP4 · video
M4A · audio
File size: available only when reportedResolution and media type answer different questions. A video stream can be video-only, while an audio format may have no picture. Select the actual option offered instead of expecting every source to provide MP4 or MP3.
What to check
- File size can be unknown until transfer; a higher resolution normally needs more storage. The browser controls the save folder and may display a file instead of saving it immediately.
- Format availability changes with the source. Expired links, provider blocks and access restrictions can cause failures; downloading does not transfer ownership or permission to republish.
Common questions
Why does a link work on the source website but fail here?
Your browser may have a login session or a different network path. The source can block automated access, require authorization or stop exposing a downloadable format.
